The “Daily Show” Takes On Teabaggers

Posted by admin On April - 16 - 2009

s-jon-stewart-large1Last night, Jon Stewart explored the tax day tea protests. Taking on Fox News for sponsoring these events, but the people themselves for protesting wasteful spending by buying a million tea bags and wasting them. At least someone could have had some tea! Stewart also looked at the odd coincidence in timing that these people decided to go anti-government around two and a half months ago. Read the rest of this entry »

John Stewart Talks Baracknophobia

Posted by Justin Newman On April - 9 - 2009

s-jon-stewart-largeDAILY SHOW- Jon Stewart took on people “speaking crazy to power last night.” Rep. Michele Bachmann recently said that President Obama is going to put our children in reeducation camps. Bachmann makes as much sense as the argument for the Fair Tax. Hannity of course jumped on it, talking about how brave Bachmann was about bringing up the truth. Stewart followed this clip up with a plethora of moves the previous administration made to reduce freedom, transparency, and state’s rights, and said the pair were confusing “tyranny” and “losing.” Read the rest of this entry »

South Park Takes Disney To Task

Posted by admin On March - 17 - 2009

425adsouthparkkjonasnjonasjjonas031109Finally the secret is out, well at least to those who tuned in to South Park’s lambasting of Disney’s role in the lives of pop stars and tween idols The Jonas Brothers.
The episode focuses on the boy band’s turning young girls on, while telling them to be pure and wait for marriage, in order to sell albums. This becomes pretty explicit in their first number, “Love You Bay-Bay”:

Funnier still is the relationship between Kenny and his girlfriend. Schooling all those who throw themselves into committed relationships via the promise/purity ring.

But whose idea was this anyway? The evil-genius behind the Disney Corporation, obviously, Mickey Mouse. He doesn’t want the boys of South Park revealing his evil plan before the Jonas Bros’ big 3D concert, so he threatens them with a chainsaw as he insults Christians. Which lets be frankly honest, deserve the smiting. Christians deserve public ridicule for buying into anything that they deem “wholesome” as long as it has a cross on it. Reasonably sure of this trend YPA Press might just adopt a Christian format for money purposes.
