Dear YPA Press Readers:
On Friday, November 27th 2009 Maureen, mother to Jordan from New Found Glory was rushed to to Broward General Medical Center CVICU due to a sudden, unidentified infection which has severely weakened her heart. She is currently in critical condition with only 10% of her heart working on it’s own. The doctors tell the family they are limited as to what they could do in that facility and it may be in her best interest to be transferred to Jackson Memorial Hospital for a heart transplant.
As you know this costs a lot of money. Like most people in this country insurance has continued to screw them over. Jordan has given us so much enjoyment via New Found Glory over the years as well as recently working with Outlet Thru Noise to produce a charity shirt to benefit the children of domestic violence. In an effort to help Maureen the site the family set up is asking for donations. If you’ve ever been in this situation (Editor’s Note: I have, I nearly lost my Mom to brain complications in 2001) you know it’s hard to ask for help, so we at YPA Press are asking for Jordan, Jill, Edra, Alex, Mandy and most importantly Maureen. although I do not know you personally I had the pleasure of meeting Rhonda briefly in acupuncture school. My hopes and prayers are with you and your family. I sincerely have you in my thoughts.
