Donald Trump today came out in a press conference that Carrie Prejean would be allowed to keep her status in the Miss USA competition. Trump, who is the owner of the Miss USA pagent, has been criticized for holding the beauty queen to a double standard after racy photos surfaced of her last month.
Miss California, Carrie Prejean, who won the 1st runner up spot at the Miss USA pagent after many thought her answer on same-sex marriage was too controversial. She offended many people in the press, including judge Perez Hilton, and suddenly became a media sensation. Dirty.com surfaced pictures of then 17 year old Prejean in scantily clad lingerie. Miss California said that she was naive and models take these types of pictures. Unfortunatly for Prejean more photos came out this morning, taken just last year after her breast implants.
The media and Prejean herself believed that losing her status in the Miss USA pagent would be a double standard. Miss Rhode Island, appeared in semi-nude photographs in Maxim Magazine before she entered the Miss USA pagent circuit. However, Alysha Castonguay disclosed this information to pagent officials when she competed for the crown. Prejean did not tell anyone of her photos and played dumb when questioned about them.
California officals stripped her of the ‘Beauty of California Ambassador’ in a press conference yesterday. The title was then awarded to Miss Malibu Tami Farrell, the 1st Runner Up in the Miss California Pagent. Many believe that Miss Prejean is no longer speaking to California Pagent officials and that ‘handlers and agents’ are dealing with officials and events.

Just the fact that she lied repeatedly is reason enough to take away her title. But we all know Mr Trump is ok with girls doing cocaine, drinking, showing their “assets” while they have a crown on their heads. Back in the day Trump did take away the crown of Miss Universe winner Alicia Machado from Venezuela just because she gained some pounds …. I think that says it all.

Yeah Miss Nevada threw a fit over all this because she had her crown taken away for doing the same exact thing this chick did. I don’t really see what the big deal is because, well, honestly I could care less about Miss Whoever. I mean this chick struts around in a bikini and talks about her opinion on whatever and gets a prize for looking pretty. Is the fact that she gets naked in front of a camera really that shocking? No. It’s just that she lied about it and REALLY it’s just that she’s a dumb Christian and doesn’t believe what members of the (predominately) liberal media believe. Perez Hilton really had no right flipping out at her just because she doesn’t believe what he believes. If you’re going to ask them an *opinion* question there shouldn’t be only one acceptable answer. But either way the whole pageant thing is an outdated over-hyped meaningless night of BS and this chick’s 15 minutes will be over faster than you can say “Carrie who?”
